Now Hiring: Director of Pharmacy (Contract Position)
Location: Ridgecrest, CA
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Assignment Length: Immediate start through end of year
Compensation:$85-$90

We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy for a hospital-based contract role in Ridgecrest, California. This is a non-clinical leadership position with no PIC duties or staffing shifts required.

Position Details:

• Full-time, weekday schedule only (no weekends or call coverage)

• On-site management of daily pharmacy operations

• Oversee compliance, accreditation readiness, and strategic initiatives

Note: This role is operational the Director will not compound or provide direct patient care.

Pharmacy Overview:

• Open daily: 7:00 AM 10:00 PM

• Pipeline system supports overnight remote order entry

• Team: 56 pharmacists, 67 technicians, plus PRN support

• No chemotherapy services offered

• 340B program is in place and managed by a dedicated team

Technology & Systems:

• Order Entry Platform: Paragon / Allscripts

• Automation: Pyxis

• 340B: Familiarity is necessary, though direct oversight is not

Candidate Requirements:

• Active California Pharmacist license (CA RPh)

• Proven track record as a hospital Director of Pharmacy

• Experience with:

• Regulatory and compliance programs

• Policy and procedure development (including crosswalks)

• MERP, ASP, P&T committee work

• Bluesight and pharmacy financial systems, including Chargemaster
