Established in 1964, CADAS (Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services) provides comprehensive care for individuals overcoming substance use disorders. Its services range from Medical Detox and Residential Treatment to Outpatient Services (IOP, MAT), Halfway House, and Sober Living Apartments, supporting both adults and adolescents toward lifelong recovery. CADAS employs a 12-step model of recovery to address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each individual. With approximately 215 beds, the organization commits to removing barriers to recovery, offering services via TennCare, commercial insurance, private pay, and state grant funding for qualifying individuals.

Role Description

CADAS is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead the delivery of high-quality care at its Chattanooga, TN location. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring proper infection control measures, coordinating medical care for clients, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. The Director of Nursing will also provide guidance, supervision, and support to the nursing team to ensure optimal care delivery, particularly in long-term care settings, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support overall recovery efforts for clients.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive experience in Nursing Management and leadership within healthcare or recovery settings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Control protocols and best practices
  • Proficiency in Nursing practices and strong understanding of Medicine
  • Experience in Long-term Care for substance use disorders or similar healthcare services
  • Active and unencumbered RN license in Tennessee (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Prior experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment is a plus
  • BSN required; advanced nursing degree or equivalent education is a preferred qualification
