Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational institution in Hayward, CA is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to support students in grades TK-5 at the elementary level. This part-time contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year and offers a caseload of approximately 22 students. The role requires strong skills in pediatric occupational therapy within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students (TK-5) to support developmental and functional skills
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress according to school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert remendations
- Maintain pliance with state and federal special education laws
- Adapt therapy approaches for diverse learning needs and environments
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy credential required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (TK-5) preferred
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and caseload management
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills for collaboration with school personnel and families
- Ability to deliver services onsite in pliance with current health and safety guidelines
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite in Hayward, California (ZIP Code 94563)
- Part-time, 18-20 hours weekly
- Contract begins August 8, 2025, and concludes May 29, 2026
