We are a thriving pediatric dental practice in the Montclair / Bloomfield area looking to add a talented dental hygienist. We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and experienced dental hygienist who enjoys working with children. We have an excellent following of long-term patients and prioritize high quality patient care. We have a team of excellent dentists and staff that contribute to a great working environment. The position is for part time with opportunity for full time if interested. Great schedule & patient flow.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
