What You’ll Do
As the campus School Psychologist/LSSP, you will:
Assessment & Eligibility
• Conduct cognitive, academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and adaptive assessments
• Select, administer, and interpret standardized measures and observations
• Determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with state and federal law
• Develop comprehensive psychological evaluation reports and recommendations
Intervention & Counseling
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling
• Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social needs
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on student needs and intervention strategies
IEP & ARD Responsibilities
• Participate in ARD (Admission, Review & Dismissal) meetings
• Assist in the development and review of IEPs
• Serve as case manager for assigned students
• Support compliance and timelines across multiple campuses
Collaboration & School Support
• Partner with campus teams to address behavioral and academic concerns
• Provide expertise on psycho-social development, prevention, and intervention strategies
• Communicate effectively with staff, families, and district personnel
Qualifications
✓ Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
✓ Valid Texas LSSP license (or Trainee Status Letter)
✓ Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute to IEP development
✓ Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
✓ 1+ year school-based experience preferred
