A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a dedicated professional to work within a K-12 school setting in Fremont, California. This short-term contract spans a full semester (3-4 months) and entails working on-site alongside a collaborative team of educators and therapists committed to supporting student communication development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students with speech and language disorders across PreK12 grade levels
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to the development of individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings to effectively plan and review student progress
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation for all therapy services provided
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to address and support student communication needs
- Manage a caseload assigned in alignment with experience and district requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Experience in school-based speech therapy is an advantage
