Job Description
We’re partnering with a leading employee-owned consultancy to hire a Senior Plant Electrical Designer for an exciting new team in Austin. This role centers on power plant and industrial plant projects, delivering detailed electrical system designs with minimal input from engineers.
What you’ll do:
- Create layouts, duct banks, conduit & cable tray systems, one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Deliver construction-ready drawings in 2D/3D CAD
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, API, and related standards
- Collaborate across disciplines and mentor junior staff
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years in electrical drafting/design (power generation or industrial)
- Advanced AutoCAD (2D/3D) expertise
- Knowledge of power plant construction standards
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- (Bonus) BRCM experience + mentoring background
