Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accountant supports core accounting functions, including payroll processing, time and attendance tracking, month-end close, accounts payable, staff expenses, and corporate credit cards. This role is also responsible for journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting compliance processes and special projects. The Accountant plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll and timekeeping data while supporting broader accounting operations.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Process bimonthly payroll and support the preparation of payroll-related reports.
  • Assist with benefits, and payroll taxes processing and reconciliation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for fielding payroll-related inquiries and escalate as necessary.
  • Registers and reconciles credit card transactions.
  • Conducts monthly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting. Communicate any material discrepancies and unexpected activity to the Accounting Manager.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage the invoice and expense platform. Ensure accurate processing of invoices and employee expense reports with special attention being paid to cost allocations.
  • Prepare journal entries accurately, timely, and with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Assist with interim and annual external audit process and tax return preparation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
  • 3+ years of direct payroll experience required. Compliance experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of finance and accounting functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Paylocity preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP required.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, and distance vision, and the ability to work with screens or monitors for prolonged periods of time. This position is primarily a sedentary job where the team member will be seated for the majority of the day.

Salary Range$75,000—$79,500 USD
