This role is responsible for machining friction surfaces for clutches, brake magnets, and rotors. The candidate will inspect parts after production, perform general assembly, set up sheets, read blueprints accurately, cut semi-finished parts, and measure parts for accuracy. Experience in using calipers and micrometers is essential.
Responsibilities
- Machine friction surfaces for clutches, brake magnets, and rotors.
- Inspect parts post-production for quality assurance.
- Perform general assembly tasks and set up sheets.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Cut semi-finished parts and measure them for precision using calipers and micrometers.
Essential Skills
- Proficient use of calipers and micrometers.
- Experience in machine operation and general assembly.
- Ability to read blueprints and execute tasks accordingly.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Ability to proficiently use an iPad.
- Basic math skills.
- Capability to perform visual inspections and complete documentation.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with a preference for personality over experience.
- 6+ months of experience with blueprints.
- 6+ months of experience in inspecting and cutting parts.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean machining area connected to the manufacturing floor and warehouse. It houses several CNC machines and other equipment within a small area. The atmosphere is relaxed, though it can be loud due to machine operation. Steel-toed shoes and eye protection are required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
