Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Position: Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Location:Austin, TX

Soliant Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 1st Shift position at our client's Long Term Care (LTC) facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting start-up operation in a dynamic, growing environment. The site operates 365 days a year, and you will play an essential role in overseeing operations as we move toward the introduction of a clean room for the production of IVs/TPNs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the proper medication orders, ensuring appropriateness of drug, dosage, and administration.
  • Maintain accurate medication dispensing records and ensure proper labeling.
  • Supervise and lead the team on the floor, ensuring the smooth daily operations.
  • Manage administrative duties and handle HR-related issues when necessary.
  • Motivate the team to meet productivity goals while maintaining high munication standards.
  • Evaluate and resolve medication-related queries with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Maintain strict pliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the medication supply process.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Texas.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings.
  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in LTC or pharmacy-related fields.
  • Strong ability to motivate and municate effectively with a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to problem-solve on the floor.
  • Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures surrounding medication management in LTC settings.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Texas.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Hospital or Retail Pharmacy (LTC experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical and munication skills.
  • puter skills and experience with Framework/ECM software (a plus).
