Senior Mechanical Engineer – Food & Beverage (Open to relocation)

Metric are working with a fast-growing engineering firm seeking a high caliber Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of facility mechanical systems for food and beverage and industrial manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer facility systems: utility, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, steam, pumps, process heating, industrial piping, high/low-pressure water, wastewater, and other subsystems.
• Develop calculations, layouts, AutoCAD 2D drawings, and Revit 3D models for all mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Perform field evaluations and gather required site information (15–20% travel).
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Continuously improve processes through feedback and innovation.

Skills and Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering;
• PE required.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical system design, including utility, plumbing, and HVAC for industrial or food & beverage facilities.
• Proficient in reading specifications, performing calculations, and producing detailed designs.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
