Support learners of all ages and abilities in a dynamic school environment near San Mateo, CA. Assignments vary by grade level and specific student needs, including pre-K through high school as well as bus aide roles, providing flexibility and unique experiences each day.

To thrive in this role, candidates should bring a commitment to teamwork, adaptability, and compassion. As a paraprofessional, you will be expected to support all assigned duties, which may include toileting, diapering, feeding, g-tube feeding, and other personal care responsibilities as directed by the school. Willingness to embrace all assigned tasks and locations is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Meets at least one of the following:
    • Associate’s degree or higher
    • 48 college units and a high school diploma
    • Passing score on CBEST (with high school diploma)
    • Successful completion of the instructional aide exam (with high school diploma)
  • Additional certifications beneficial (see below):
    • CPR/First Aid, Emergency medication training
    • Specialized knowledge in physical health care, sign language, or Braille preferred for certain placements
    • Licensed Vocational Nurse credential (for S22 roles)
  • Minimum six months of recent experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support under the guidance of instructional staff
  • Assist with a variety of personal care, health, and behavioral needs
  • Adapt to changing assignments and support students in both classroom and community settings
  • Participate in required training modules and ongoing professional development

Pay: Earn at least $34.25 per hour, with potential for higher rates based on experience and assignment.
