Training Manager / Coordinator | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all manufacturing personnel, aligning with production goals and safety standards.
  • Identify training needs through performance reviews, skills assessments, and discussions with department managers.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Source and manage external training providers and resources as needed.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness, measuring key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all training records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the manufacturing team.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in training.
  • Experience with adult learning methodologies and instructional design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) or training software.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in training development.
  • - Proficiency in Learning Management System (LMS) administration and reporting.
  • - Certification in instructional design or adult learning principles.
  • - Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • - Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and their training requirements.
