Schedule & Location
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (option for 48 upon request)
- 13-week assignment, with bi-weekly orientation starts
- Rotating every other holiday and three weekends out of every six-week scheduling period
Qualifications
- Current active compact RN license—must be submitted upon applying
- AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- At least 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience, with 1 prior travel assignment and trauma level II background
- Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
- Proficient in remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood product administration, trach care, and PCA management
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Adaptable, resilient, and team-oriented
Responsibilities
- Manage care for post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF patients
- Float within skillset as needed across the Evansville and Newburgh campuses (with advanced notice)
- Serve as a mentor, precepting students and new hires as part of this teaching hospital’s initiatives
- Maintain compliance with facility standards, including dress code and attendance
