Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on PLC systems, electrical controls, and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Overtime available (1.5x after 40 hours, 2x after 48 hours)
- Weekend work as needed based on production demands

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, and PLC I/O modules
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including 480V, 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives, and soft starters
- Diagnose and repair control systems using electrical schematics
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, including ladder logic modifications
- Maintain and troubleshoot encoders, load cells, and other feedback devices
- Troubleshoot communication networks (Profibus, serial, and industrial Ethernet)
- Support and maintain automated equipment including conveyors and production systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
- Assist with continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems and servo controls
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC programming and HMI systems
- Experience in packaging or food manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Knowledge of encoders, servo motors, and amplifiers
- Understanding of safety practices (lockout/tagout, confined space, PPE)
