Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Shipping Clerks for our York, PA client.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Shifts: 1st Shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday
Job Description:
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
- Verify and process shipping orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities, product types, and destination addresses
- Create and manage shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and carrier paperwork
- Schedule pick-ups and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, or delivery services to ensure on-time shipments
- Track shipments and resolve delivery or freight issues in collaboration with carriers and internal teams
- Maintain inventory accuracy by recording shipment details in the system (ERP/WMS/Shipping Software)
- Perform quality checks to ensure correct products and quantities are being shipped
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and other warehouse duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a logistics or distribution environment preferred
- Familiarity with shipping software and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, WMS/ERP systems)
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and reliability
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced logistics/warehouse environment
- Frequent interaction with carriers, drivers, warehouse associates, and internal departments
- May require occasional overtime or weekend shifts to meet shipping deadlines
