Job Description:
The primary function of the Dental Scheduling Coordinator is to ensure all Dental Resource Schedules are optimized for patient access and patient care needs. This includes scheduling appointments, filling last minute and advance notice appointments, answering questions about services, checking eligibility, clinical team communication, and maintaining dental treatment list. The Scheduling Coordinator will consult frequently with the Front Office supervisor, dental team and clinical teams to ensure schedules utilized following all scheduling guidelines and patient care needs with an emphasis on team-based care.
Duties
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by reviewing medical records and documentation.
- Verify and check patient eligibility for treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records and treatment plans.
- Address scheduling-related challenges promptly and proactively.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and financial responsibilities.
- Maintain and update the dental treatment list as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for insurance claims, including Medicare and other billing processes.
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all documentation related to patient care.
- Provide support in office operations, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Experience:
- 1+ years in a Dental role, open to front of back-office experience
- Proficient with EMR (electronic medical record system)
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
