A Lawn Mowing Technician is responsible for maintaining healthy and well-kept lawns for residential or commercial properties. This role focuses on precise mowing, trimming, and site cleanup while following safety standards. The position requires attention to detail, time management, and safe equipment handling. Technicians often work as part of a crew and represent the company on client properties.
Typical job tasks include:
- Mowing lawns using commercial walk-behind or riding mowers to meet company quality standards.
- Trimming edges around sidewalks, driveways, flower beds, fences, and buildings.
- Using blowers to clear grass clippings from hard surfaces and leave properties clean.
- Inspecting lawns for issues such as weeds, pests, or irrigation problems and reporting concerns.
- Performing basic maintenance on equipment, including cleaning mowers and checking oil levels.
- Following daily route schedules to complete assigned properties efficiently.
- Loading and unloading mowing equipment and tools safely from trailers or trucks.
- Applying safety practices, including wearing protective gear and following company procedures.
- Communicating with crew leaders or supervisors regarding job progress or client requests
