Engagement: Confidential Federal Agency
Role: Junior Defense Industrial Base Analyst (Onsite)
Project Location: Washington, DC (80% on client-site)
Important: Candidate Must reside in the DC Metro area and Must be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active Public Trust Clearance
Role: This position is supporting a high priority and confidential mission of a federal agency and will work directly with the executive leadership of a program and interact regularly with executive level stakeholders across multiple agencies
Position Description and Responsibilities:
· Conduct in-depth regulatory, defense acquisitions, and industry competitiveness research
· Engage with a spectrum of defense and non-defense industry vendors and agencies to gather essential data that will aid in crafting surveys, underpinned by key data points, to comprehend the core challenges and opportunities within the industry.
· Author detailed memos and formal reports based on research findings to help communicate and present insights to program leaders and senior stakeholders across federal agencies.
· Develop performance metrics and diligently monitor progress to report back to stakeholders to assist in informed decision-making.
· Support the creation, implementation, and management of defense industry survey
· Effectively manage database and create data visualization dashboards using Microsoft Power BI enhance decision-making processes.
· Present analysis results and provide recommendations to interagency officials to equip them with the necessary information to make well-informed decisions and take strategic actions regarding specific state program operations, issues, and policies.
· Prepare and maintain program documents, memoranda, and correspondence to ensure program efficiency and clarity
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree in defense trade, national security, or national defense related field is Required
· Master’s Degree in trade policy or national security, or national defense related field is Preferred
· Ideally, 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in defense acquisitions, national security or defense policy, or defense trade is required
· Must be a strong researcher and writer
· Experience working within the DoD or Defense Acquisition University is preferred
· Experience in metrics, data analysis, and data visualization is strongly preferred
· Experience in preparing and delivering executive-level briefings is prepared
· Must possess proficiency with SharePoint and Power BI
· Must possess strong MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
· Very strong and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
· Works well independently and as a team
· Must be a US Citizen
· Must have an active Public Trust Clearance
