Our client, a Twin Cities–based Water Treatment Plant Contractor, is seeking a hands-on Job Site Superintendent to join their team. This role is responsible for managing daytoday on-site operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating project activities with all stakeholders. Candidates should have broad construction experience, including concrete work (flatwork and walls—Symons preferred), ductile iron process piping installation, chemical feed system installation, and general carpentry. Previous experience in the water and wastewater industry is highly preferred.

We’re looking for a wellorganized, trustworthy leader with strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and excellent mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate is resourceful, safetyfocused, proactive, and skilled at planning ahead.

This position includes both field work and supervisory responsibilities. Projects are located throughout the Twin Cities metro and surrounding suburbs, with little to no travel required. Candidates must be able to reliably commute within the region or be willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onsite production while maintaining strict quality control standards
  • Schedule and coordinate all construction activities on the job site
  • Implement and enforce safety programs; identify and mitigate unsafe conditions
  • Oversee and support crews and subcontractors
  • Prepare progress updates, track timecards, and conduct safety meetings
  • Apply sound judgment and resourceful problemsolving to project challenges
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and procedures
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with project teams, engineers, and owners
  • Perform additional construction duties as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods
  • Ability to perform math and complex calculations
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Experience with critical path planning and material scheduling
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication; effective conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and basic scheduling software
  • General and OSHA safety knowledge
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb and work at heights up to 30 feet
  • Valid Class D driver's license and clean driving record; Class A CDL a plus
