Responsibilities:
• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Handle billing functions for outpatient services, ensuring timely submission and reimbursement.
• Manage insurance claims and authorizations, resolving any discrepancies effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify medical information and ensure proper coding.
• Utilize MatrixCare software for billing tasks, with training provided if needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed medical plans and billing regulations.
• Generate detailed reports on billing activities and submit them promptly.
• Communicate with insurers to address billing inquiries and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support hospital billing processes and outpatient coding requirements.

• Proven experience in medical coding and billing, preferably in outpatient and hospital settings.
• Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Familiarity with insurance billing and authorization procedures.
• Strong understanding of managed medical plans and healthcare regulations.
• Experience with MatrixCare software is a plus, but training can be provided.
• Certification in medical coding is highly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
