Compensation: $95,000 – $140,000 annually
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

Position Summary:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Director of Surgical and Cardiovascular Services for a full-time leadership role at a hospital in Bartlett, TN. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for the Surgical and Cardiovascular departments, including the Operating Room (OR) and Cath Lab.
The Director is accountable for overseeing clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality care standards, and driving operational excellence. This role carries 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas and reports to senior hospital leadership.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage surgical services and cardiovascular (Cath Lab) operations
- Evaluate, plan, and implement nursing practice across assigned units
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care delivery
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, and departmental resource utilization
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
- Serve as a mentor and advocate for nursing excellence
- Partner with cross-functional departments on growth initiatives and service line development
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- If relocating, must be eligible and willing to obtain a Tennessee RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or a healthcare-related field required
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership/management experience in a hospital setting
- Clinical experience in both Surgical Services and Cardiovascular (Cath Lab) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related healthcare field
- Experience with quality improvement programs and hospital accreditation
- Strong operational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage change
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Full-time, day-shift leadership role
- Hospital-based clinical and administrative setting
- May involve extended periods of standing and walking
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
