OPPORTUNITY: The Account Services Manager primarily responsible for overseeing the accounts receivables department. This position is responsible for the safety and maintenance of all records maintained in the administration building as well as building access as it pertains to HIPAA compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-The Account Services Manager is given authority to conduct all routine business and management affairs that relate to the administrative and patient billing center activities of Advantage Ambulance.
- Has the authority to hire, discharge, promote, demote or discipline the personnel who report directly to them. All actions should be handled in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
- The primary function is to oversee patient claims that are to be forwarded to insurance companies for the purpose of receiving optimum reimbursement for services provided.
- Ensure that all company billing practices adhere to industry standards as well as billing according to individual contracted rates for insurance companies and facilities.
- Maintain all contracts for billing rates up to date to ensure timely billing and reimbursement.
- Ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
- Ensure that all employees, who report to this position, have the required capability and training to fulfill their duties
Required Certifications:
- Healthcare Provider CPR
- HIPAA Privacy & Security
- Billing and Coding
Preferred: CPC or CCS certification
Education:
Required: A Bachelors degree in business, liberal arts, or in a related field. Significant work experience may substitute for academic achievement. Medical Terminology, Anatomy.
Preferred: Advanced degree in business administration or finance.
