Job DescriptionDescription:

General Summary: The Staff Accountant works directly with the Finance Director during the

month-end closing cycle and day-to-day fulfillment operations.


Essential Functions

? Reconcile bank, credit card, and liability accounts

? Maintain and manage the A/P database

? Enter daily deposits into the accounting software

? Research variances, prepare journal entries, and reconcile subledger accounts

? Back-up support with creating and sending invoices to clients through various channels

? Revenue analysis

? Monitor and manage client refunds and overpayments

? Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts

? Run month-end reports and check for variances, errors, and omissions

? Ensure financial records are compliant with company policies and procedures

? Assist with the ongoing process of upskilling the team procedures and internal controls

? Uphold Medical Equation’s Policies

? Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with both coworkers and customers

through all forms of communication

? Additional duties, responsibilities, and assignments as needed by the Finance Director

Requirements:

Required Experience

? 3-5 years of accounting experience

? Knowledge accounting principles and financial statement presentation

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

? Advanced Excel skills a plus (Pivots, Macros and X-Lookup tables)

? Strong technical skills with ERP, CRM and PPM software systems preferred


Education

? Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance


Work Environment

This job is an in-office position. This is largely a sedentary role in a professional environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position

requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to ten (10) pounds.
