Responsibilities
- Building strong partnerships across the business to champion a culture where people feel respected, engaged, and empowered.
- Working with our existing HR team to standardize our Employee Relations framework, metrics, and processes that will ensure consistent support across the organization.
- Partnering with managers to support employee development and performance, using coaching plans and performance improvement strategies that promote growth.
- Collaborating with Learning & Development to create the training, development, and coaching experiences that will help our leaders more effectively embody our company values, understand our processes, and foster growth for our people.
- Staying up to date on evolving employment laws and helping the organization apply them in consistent and inclusive ways.
- Using data and trends to inform strategies and continuous improvement efforts.
- Using sound judgment and involving legal advisors as appropriate to manage risk.
- Creating and maintaining thoughtful documentation and reporting that helps HR and leadership make informed, people-centered decisions.
- Leading fair, thorough, and respectful investigations into concerns such as policy violations or workplace conduct.
- Partnering with our HR Operations team to advise on medical leaves, return-to-work transitions, and workplace accommodations in alignment with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations.
- Supporting sensitive organizational changes (e.g., restructures, role transitions) with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication.
- Facilitating constructive, solutions-focused conversations that balance empathy with compliance.
- Helping develop, shape and maintain HR policies, tools and processes that reflect the company’s values and drive fair outcomes.
- Identifying workplace patterns and root causes of challenges—and recommending proactive, long-term solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, performance management practices, and investigative procedures.
- Experience guiding and documenting complex employee relations issues with consistency and fairness.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
- SHRM or HRCI certification a plus.
- Property Management and/or Construction industry experience a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
Compensation and Benefits for Employee Relations Partner:
Pay Range: $93,000 - $122,500
