Job Title: Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Must Reside More Than 75 Miles Away
Location: Rochester, NY 14621
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• 3x12 or 4x12 schedules available

Pay Rate: $55 – $63 hourly (weekly gross based on hours worked)

Position Summary

A leading acute care hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role supports stepdown-level patients requiring close monitoring and advanced cardiac and respiratory care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Active New York Single State RN License is required – no pending licenses accepted.

Required Skills & Experience

• Telemetry and Stepdown-level care (PCU / DOU / IMC)

• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response

  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

  • Participation in Rapid Response / Code teams

• Oxygen therapy and airway support

  • Nasal cannula, oxygen administration

  • Non-invasive airway management

• Cardiac drips (no titration required)

• Blood product administration

• Central and peripheral line care and management

• IV therapy and phlebotomy

• Isolation precautions and infection control practices

Education & Certifications

• Active New York State RN License (Single State) – required

• ACLS – required

• BLS – required

• NIHSS – required
