The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily cleaning operations to ensure facilities, such as hotels or hospitals, meet strict sanitation and quality standards. They manage staff schedules, inspect rooms, train team members, handle guest requests, and track supply inventories.
Compensation:
$24 Hourly
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Assign daily tasks, manage shift schedules, and arrange coverage for employee absences.
- Quality Inspections: Conduct walk-throughs of guest rooms and common areas to ensure brand cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Training & Coaching: Onboard new hires, teach proper chemical usage, and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and room amenities, placing orders as needed.
- Issue Resolution: Handle guest complaints promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team to report and repair room defects.
- Administrative Duties: Update room statuses in the management system, log lost and found items, and generate shift reports.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Typically 2+ years of prior cleaning or supervisory experience in hospitality or a related field.
- Leadership: Strong team management, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, infection control, and commercial cleaning techniques.
