Job Summary

The Patient Support / Imaging Scheduler is responsible for facilitating smooth patient flow within the Mammography and Imaging Department. This role includes escorting patients from the main lobby to imaging areas, assisting technologists with scheduling and transport needs, and operating the patient messaging system to ensure timely appointment reminders and communication. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, remains on their feet for most of the shift, and supports a fast-paced clinical environment with professionalism, safety, and compassion.

Requirements

• Prior healthcare, hospital, or medical office experience — required
• Spanish speaking — required
• Radiology experience — preferred
• Strong patient interaction and communication skills
• Ability to be on feet for majority of shift
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs
• Cerner EMR experience or familiarity — preferred / beneficial

Duties & Responsibilities

• Escort patients from the main lobby to the Mammography / Imaging Department
• Assist Imaging Technologists with scheduling needs and transport
• Support daily imaging operations to maintain smooth patient flow and exam timeliness
• Operate the patient messaging system, including sending appointment reminders and notifications
• Provide compassionate and professional customer service while maintaining patient privacy and comfort
• Communicate effectively with patients, technologists, and front office staff to support departmental workflow
