Overview:
Eide Machinery Sales, Inc. has been a leader in the Wood Product and Fabrication Industries since 1927. We manufacture, fabricate, and service machinery across North America, and we take pride in our can-do attitude and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Shop Support to support shop operations while specializing in ensure our equipment meets the highest standards in quality and durability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General Support: Assist with general shop tasks, including material handling, equipment prep, and workspace organization.
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, and prime machinery/components to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Painting: Utilize paint systems to apply smooth, uniform finishes to industrial machinery.
- Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for defects (e.g., bubbles, runs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work with technicians and fabricators to meet project deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools, paint booths, and workspaces per safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Experience in painting/finishing, preferably with systems (industrial or automotive background acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of surface prep, paint types, and application methods for machinery/metal.
- Familiarity with manufacturing/shop environments (machinery, fabrication, or woodworking a plus).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
