Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist to provide onsite services within charter schools in the Detroit area. Positions are available on a part-time and full-time basis, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule. You will work directly with approximately 44 students, supporting their developmental and functional needs in an educational environment. The contract begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Promote strategies that enhance students' participation in classroom activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with school-based experience.
- Strong understanding of educational settings and ability to work within charter schools.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 44 students effectively.
