Job DescriptionDescription:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily warehouse operations within the EventWorks full-service event rental environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory control, equipment handling, and overall warehouse organization, while providing direction and support to Warehouse Associates. The Warehouse Lead will also be cross-trained to provide backup support for the Linen and Dish Departments as business needs require.


This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, leadership capability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including pulling, picking, staging, and verifying rental orders
  • Assign tasks and provide direction to Warehouse Associates to ensure productivity and accuracy
  • Verify order accuracy and ensure all items meet quality and cleanliness standards prior to dispatch
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling and secure transport of rental items
  • Assist with and oversee inventory control, including counting, restocking, labeling, and resolving discrepancies
  • Inspect rental items for quality and cleanliness prior to staging or returning to inventory
  • Train, coach, and support team members on warehouse processes, safety procedures, and best practices
  • Clean, organize, and maintain warehouse areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
  • Operate warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks and carts) in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Cross-train and provide support in Linen and Dish Departments, including sorting, counting, and preparing items for distribution
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to meet operational demands
  • Follow proper material handling techniques to prevent damage to rental inventory
  • Adhere to company safety standards and ensure team compliance with PPE and safety practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for warehouse-related questions and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations required
  • Previous warehouse experience required; event rental industry experience preferred
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper lifting techniques
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds consistently
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, and pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

What is required to perform the essential functions.


Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or event-related environment preferred
  • Experience with inventory control or shipping/receiving is a plus


Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
