14255 2nd shift General Labor/Forklift, Montgomery, MO, 2-month contract
Sigma Systems is seeking a 2nd shift general laborer/forklift operator to work on-site in Montgomery, MO.
Note:
- **Steel-toed shoes are required.**
- HS diploma or GED preferred.
- **Temp to perm: "Yes, " depending on the right resource and business needs.
- Qualifications: Be able to drive a forklift
Shift : Mon-Thurs 1 PM-11:00 PM
Responsibilities :
"This job centers around general labor, which may include housekeeping, running equipment, using a forklift, repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds, and anything else assigned to you. The work environment may be dusty/dirty and require bending, stooping, and twisting.
Requirements :
- Must be able to follow directions & perform repetitive production activities. All training and instructions are typically given on the job. Proficiency is attained in a short time on the job
Skills :
- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. Basic Math.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and in group situations.
- Ability to pass forklift training test. WORKERS WILL NOT OPERATE FORKLIFTS.
- Ability to pass the powered industrial trucks training test.
- Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods of time in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instruction.
Knowledge : Knowledge and compliance with all safety guidelines. Knowledge of basic math, counting, computer skills, etc. May occasionally use company computer equipment & systems.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent and steel-toed shoes required.
