We are looking for a part-time HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Madison, Wisconsin. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can manage a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on company operations while working collaboratively with employees and leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to employee handbook-related questions and provide clear guidance on policies.
• Oversee recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.
• Provide support during workforce reductions, offering assistance and guidance to affected employees.
• Monitor and respond to inquiries in the general HR mailbox within 24 hours during core business hours.
• Foster effective communication across all levels of the organization to build strong relationships.
• Practice active listening to understand employee concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
• Prioritize and organize multiple HR tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain and update HR records and systems for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement HR strategies that align with company goals
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources roles.
• Proficiency in employee relations and HR administration.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes and benefit functions.
• Experience working with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrated active listening skills to address employee concerns effectively.
• Ability to work within core business hours and respond promptly to inquiries.
