Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide patient-centered nursing care on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a well-established healthcare setting located in the St. Louis region. This 13-week contract position offers day shifts with options for 36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly. Professional accountability and teamwork are essential in delivering high-quality care to adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to optimize outcomes.
  • Utilize medical equipment such as bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional and facility standards.
  • Adhere to established policies including the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and Mercy Service Standards.
  • Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current RN license eligible or licensed in Missouri.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
  • ACLS certification from AHA preferred.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts: Days 0700-1930, every other weekend required.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and flexible approach to patient care.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including lifting and assisting patients.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift: 0700-1930
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • 36 or 48 hours per week (must specify on submission)
