Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), FNP (can be considered) to join our growing team at IPW Health. As a PMHNP, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, be a team player, and demonstrate a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including history taking and mental status exams, to diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders.
• Provide psychopharmacological management, including prescribing and monitoring medications as part of a treatment plan.
• Offer psychotherapy services as needed, using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
• Document patient care and progress in a detailed, structured manner using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Monitor and manage psychiatric symptoms and medication side effects.
• Conduct follow-up care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatric nursing.

Qualifications:

• Required: Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Can consider FNP
• Required: Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
• Experience: At least 1 years of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in a telehealth setting.
• Knowledge and proficiency in psychopharmacology, assessment, and therapy techniques.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients via telehealth.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of patients in a remote environment.
• Passionate about mental health and providing compassionate care to patients.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with telehealth platforms such as Zoom, Doxy.me, or similar.
• Knowledge of integrative and holistic approaches to mental health treatment.
• Familiarity with the latest trends and treatments in psychiatric mental health.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
