A K-12 school in Laurel, MT is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students in grades 6 through 12, providing tailored support to those with diverse learning needs and mental health challenges. The role emphasizes IEP development, relationship building, and creating a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for 8-12 students.
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student growth and success.
- Employ strategies to address mental health needs and promote positive behavior.
- Participate in mandatory training, including Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) to ensure student and staff safety.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable educational regulations and district policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Montana Special Education Teacher certification is required.
- Experience working with students with mental health challenges preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and complete VIP certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Location and Schedule:
- Position based onsite in Laurel, MT.
- Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Contract duration: August 2025 through June 2026.
