Job DescriptionModernization OT System Administrator II/III(location is negotiable)This is a full time, exempt positionDescription:The Modernization OT System Administrator is responsible to drive Modernization Project actions and tasks as assigned by Modernization OT Lead or local Project Manager. They are responsible for standardized build of OT automation and supporting systems within the scope of Modernization Program.The OT System Administrator will be hands-on multiple projects.
The will be responsible for prioritizing tasks across multiple projects and delivering on time, in scope to completion. They will work with 3rd party installations to assure ADM standards are being executed as well as execute on tasks directly.Position will report directly to Modernization Program Manager but with direct alignment to Global OT Organization to maintain global standards.The ADM Modernization Program [Program Aurora] is an ADM Operations Initiative to modernize our strategic facilities through Automation and Optimization.
Utilizing technology and ADM expertise, we will reduce unplanned downtime, support safety initiatives, increase OEE and standardize our processes across our business units.
The Program is an enabler for ADM's Digital Transformation.Job Requirements:Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.Maintain physical and virtual assets across environments.Ensure Group Policy Objects (GPO) align with security requirements.Plan and expand the enterprise systems infrastructureDiscuss with a team in defining technology strategy, standards, best practices for the Windows Server environmentDevelop and maintain a consistent, flexible, and reliable server environmentDesktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation and other local area system administration related functions.Strong proficiency in administering operating systems such as Windows Server.Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware or Hyper-V.Hands-on experience with system monitoring, patch management, and backup solutions.Familiarity with Active Directory and group policy management.Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.Strong communication and documentation skills for technical support and reporting.Understanding of Process Automation SystemsThe candidate must be capable of working in extreme temperatures. Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds, and sit and stand for long periods of time. Should be able to work in confined spaces and heights.Occasional company travel required, up to 25%Required Skills: Must possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate attention to detailSelf-driven, able to juggle many tasks under tight deadlines, and be comfortable bringing ideas to the tableKnowledge in Active Directory design and administration and support of infrastructureGood documentation, teamwork, and communication skillsAdvanced experience supporting Windows operating systems deploying enterprise-wide applicationsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with Microsoft security best practices and information security.Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Servers and Desktops.Experience in supporting plant operationsExperience of working as a technology generalist with a high-level understanding of end-to-end solutions including infrastructure, applications, databases, networking, and security Working with cross-functional teams to achieve deliverablesAbility to control competing priorities in a dynamic environmentPreferred Experience/Education:Bachelor's degree in IT/MIS/OT/GT required5+ years' relevant experience in Active Directory & Windows system administration. May substitute relevant experience in Information Technology in lieu of degree.In depth knowledge of OT infrastructure and designUnderstanding of best practices in OT environmentTechnical experience with Process Automation systems, including Rockwell or Emerson DeltaV
