Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position for a School Psychologist is based in San Jose, CA, offering the opportunity to provide essential psychological services to students within a school setting. The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and supporting students mental health and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and behavioral interventions to support student well-being.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant regulations and confidentiality requirements.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential or license in California.
- Experience working in a school environment.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and psychological theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work collaboratively with school teams.
