Job Summary:

The Senior Food Product Development Scientist is a key technical contributor within the Nutraceutical R&D team, responsible for the design and development of nutraceutical powder formulations from concept through commercialization. This role leads bench-top formulation activities, maintains rigorous experimental documentation, and translates customer product briefs into scalable, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant solutions. Success in this position requires deep expertise in nutraceutical ingredient properties, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex development projects with flexibility and adaptability.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct bench-top formulation work while maintaining accurate and detailed records of experiments, including results and conclusions.

• Design and develop nutraceutical powder formulations aligned with customer product briefs, cost targets, and regulatory requirements.

• Support manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and process optimization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select raw materials, active ingredients, and processing methods based on functionality, stability, bioavailability, and sensory performance.

• Develop functional drink powder formulations utilizing expertise in food chemistry and ingredient functionality.

• Lead formulation projects in a hands-on, collaborative manner while meeting client expectations, timelines, and quality standards.

• Design and execute experiments; analyze and interpret data to provide sound technical recommendations on product and process improvements.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of five years of hands-on bench-top formulation experience.

• Extensive knowledge of nutraceutical ingredient properties and their applications.
