Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Nights
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week (12-Hour Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

We’re seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery RN to join our high-acuity obstetric team on a night shift schedule. This role involves direct patient care throughout labor and delivery, including assisting in the OR. You’ll work in a collaborative environment with a consistent patient load and an emphasis on patient safety and culturally competent care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care during labor and delivery, including high-risk pregnancies.
- Assist and/or scrub in the operating room for cesarean deliveries (required).
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, respond to complications, and collaborate with the care team.
- Care for patients facing complex challenges including language barriers, substance use, and chronic conditions affecting pregnancy.
- Occasional float to Mother/Baby unit may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active RN license (State or Compact)
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience (travel experience preferred)
- Must have fetal monitoring experience (certification not required)
- Must be able to assist and/or scrub in OB OR procedures
- EKG Exam: Not required
Schedule & Expectations:
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week (GTE)
- Weekends/Holidays: Required to work every other weekend and every other major holiday
- Call: Not required
Unit Details:
- Unit Size:
- 10 LDR rooms
- 2 Triage beds
- 2 OB ORs
- Staffing: 3 RNs + 1 Tech on most shifts
- Patient Population: High-acuity OB including:
- Complex maternal conditions
- Substance use during pregnancy
- Significant language barriers
- Equipment: GE monitors, warmers, pulse oximetry, blood glucose monitors
- Key Skills: Fetal or cardiac monitoring, obstetric emergency response
