Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide critical care nursing in an ICU/CCU setting supporting surgical and serious respiratory or cardiac patients in a 4-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio. This contract role demands flexibility to work any shifts without exception, maintaining 80 hours every two weeks. Candidates must be prepared to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver specialized intensive and critical care nursing for diverse patient age groups.
- Respond to high-acuity situations, including ventilated patients, with additional nursing support as needed.
- Support units including OB, MS, PACU, and ER according to competencies.
- Complete hospital orientation with HR, followed by a thorough unit orientation including day and night shifts.
- Maintain compliance by submitting arrival and outstanding documentation details through the designated portal.
- Adhere to holiday pay policies based on hours worked on New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse license with ICU/CCU experience required.
- Emergency Room experience is recommended.
- Ability to work any shift scheduled, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Competency in caring for a mixed patient population across ages.
- Flexibility to float to related departments as assigned.
