We are seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to become a part of our team! The Lead Dental Assistant with Receptionist Capabilities will play a crucial role in supporting the dental team while also managing front office responsibilities. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, patient care, and administrative expertise to ensure the efficient operation of the dental practice

Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Support:

  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain a clean and sterilized environment in compliance with health regulations

2. Patient Management:

  • Greet and welcome patients upon arrival.
  • Manage patient appointments and scheduling efficiently.
  • Ensure patient records are up-to-date and accurate in the system.
  • Monitor and follow up on patient treatment plans and appointments

3. Reception Duties: (As Needed)

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Handle patient check-ins and check-outs.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Train and mentor junior dental assistants and support staff.
  • Oversee daily operations of the dental assisting team.
  • Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures established by the practice.
  • Promote a positive work environment and encourage teamwork

5. Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and report generation.
  • Support the practice with marketing efforts and patient outreach initiatives

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant; experience in a lead role(managerial) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with dental assisting.
  • Capable of lifting and moving dental supplies and equipment

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced dental office setting with a focus on patient care and comfort
