MCR National Title is a start up Title Company. This is an opportunity to get in with a company on the ground level and grow. Earn commission on your existing book of business as well as new business.

  • Required Knowledge/Skills
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and ability to handle a Real Estate transaction from receipt of contract through disbursement
  • Knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents, and real property law
  • Driven to efficiently use technology to streamline processes
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, follow-up and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Ability to make complex and time sensitive decisions within company guidelines
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customer, clients, and vendors
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Prior ResWare or similar title and escrow production software experience
  • Willingness to become a licensed title agent in multiple states

Responsibilities:

  • Examination / Curative
  • Examines title commitments for accuracy and identify any requirements, defects and exceptions and work to clear the issues timely while effectively notating all systems to track progress
  • Ordering title, payoffs, estoppels, and other searches and documentation
  • Examining and clearing requirements on title commitments and lender closing instructions.
  • Resolve title defects, and satisfy existing liens and encumbrances against property
  • Reviewing title commitments, sales contracts and other related documents relating to residential real estate transactions for compliance and accuracy

Preparation

  • Assemble, prepare, and review closing documents
  • Prepare, distribute, and file final closing documents
  • Preparing Closing Disclosures, settlement statements, conveyance and other settlement
  • Documents necessary to complete closing transactions
  • Balancing the closing disclosure or settlement statements

Closing

  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct closings
  • Obtaining and preparing information needed to close a transaction
  • Working closely and coordinating closing transactions with clients, lenders, Realtors, staff, and any other relevant parties to ensure a proper timely closing transaction
  • Confirm all funds are collected, all appropriate documents are checked for accuracy, signatures are collected, and acknowledgements and legal descriptions are correct
  • Completes closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures
  • Disbursement
  • Oversee the issuance of checks, bills and statements, and receipts associated with the closing process
  • Establish escrow accounts by depositing funds and maintaining records
  • Closes escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds
  • Recordation/Post-Closing
  • Ensure timely recordation of closing documents and issuance of title policy
  • Resolves post-closing issues according to company standard

Education:

BA or equivalent work experience

As an Experienced Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for managing the escrow process and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Reporting to the Escrow Manager, you will utilize your core skills in loan processing and TILA to facilitate smooth transactions. You will also have a great opportunity to earn commission on new business and existing book business. Day one you will be a contract escrow officer, which can lead to full-time position in 3-6 months.
