Under the general oversight of the Co-Worker Health Manager, the Co-Worker Health Nurse engages in daily operations to provide essential health services to our team members. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with our core mission, values, and service standards.

Position Summary
The Co-Worker Health Nurse is crucial in supporting our team members from their first day. This role ensures the well-being and safety of employees through comprehensive health services and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all health services for employees in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct health evaluations for new hires, including drug screenings, medical history assessments, laboratory tests, chest X-rays (if necessary), and verification of immunizations.
- Administer and oversee TB screening programs in line with state mandates.
- Conduct respirator fit testing and provide necessary training.
- Promote and administer annual flu shots and other vaccinations, ensuring employees are informed about contraindications, side effects, and necessary precautions.
- Provide first aid and coordinate care for workplace injuries, collaborating with departments to facilitate safe return-to-work strategies.
- May act as the Workers’ Compensation coordinator, overseeing injury reporting, treatment facilitation, and compliance with state laws.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding health records, drug tests, and medical information.
- Prepare and deliver monthly and annual reports to fulfill Joint Commission and state health department requirements.
- Stay updated on employee health regulations and revise policies as necessary.
- Participate in wellness and safety initiatives through committee involvement.
- Communicate effectively with clear and accurate verbal and written updates.
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with our mission, values, and service standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Experience: At least 2 years of hospital or clinical experience; 3 years of current clinical experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities; capacity to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively.
