Coen Markets is seeking a Truck Stop Operations Manager to help lead one of our high-volume travel center locations. This role serves as the second-in-command to the General Manager and plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, team development, financial performance, safety, and customer experience.

What You’ll Do
Operations Leadership

Ensure the location is clean, safe, stocked, and customer-ready at all times

Oversee fuel operations, retail, foodservice, showers, restrooms, lounges, and exterior grounds

Execute company standards, policies, and procedures consistently

Act as General Manager in the GM’s absence
Financial Performance

Review and understand store-level P&L and key performance metrics

Partner with leadership to improve profitability, control labor, reduce waste, and manage inventory

Oversee cash handling, audits, and asset protection programs
Team Leadership & Development

Coach, train, and develop supervisors and hourly team members

Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and retention

Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and respect
Training & Execution

Ensure all team members are trained safely and effectively

Oversee required certifications and internal training programs (including Coen Academy)
Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Lead safety initiatives and incident reporting

Address audit findings and implement corrective actions
Customer Experience

Champion an exceptional guest experience across all touchpoints

Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally

Use customer feedback and data to drive continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Required
-
2+ years of leadership experience (retail, convenience store, or 24/7 environment)

Strong people-leadership and communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
-
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
-
Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check
Preferred
-
4–6 years of leadership experience in a truck stop, travel center, QSR, or high-volume retail environment
-
Experience reviewing P&L statements and managing operational metrics

ServSafe or ability to obtain certification within 90 days
