Behavioral Health Clinician- Full Time, 30 Hours, Florham Park, NJ
Job Description
Provides psychotherapeutic services for victims or families who have experienced sexual violence including individual and group treatment.
- Conducts specialized counseling services for individuals, 13 years and older, who have experienced sexual violence.
- Provides assessment of patient needs, including the need for treatment of emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse issues; and provides assessment, planning and interventions for issues related to sexual violence.
- Completes and analyzes evidenced based screening tools and assessments.
- Provides individual, group and family counseling for sexual violence patients and their loved ones.
- Triage for patients requiring additional psychiatric, or substance abuse services and provides appropriate referrals.
- Completes required documentation and charting of patient encounters in a timely manner.
- Advocates for positive social change; and provides advocacy services for individual patients and their families.
- Works with other community stakeholders and partners to advocate for services for sexual violence survivors and their families.
- Provides police, medical and court accompaniment for sexual violence patients, as needed.
- Works with the MCSAC Coordinator in following the day-to-day operations of the MCSAC program, adhering to contractual obligations, and established programmatic and clinical standards.
- Assists maintaining systems to facilitate efficient and effective sexual violence support operations, and maintenance of systems for accurate reporting and tracking of patient information.
- Assists the MCSAC Coordinator with quality assurance activities of the MCSAC program using current sexual violence[LU1] data and best practice, chart reviews and assessment of services through patient satisfaction endeavors.
- Provides back up hotline coverage during evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Submits monthly and quarterly program statistical reports to the coordinator for MCSAC.
- Assists the MCSAC team, when needed, in providing in-service education and outreach to community agencies in the county to provide information about identification of sexual violence victims and making referrals to MCSAC.
- Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Required-
MA degree in social work, Counseling or psychology
LSW license required, LCSW/LPC highly pref.
Bi-lingual strongly encouraged to apply
Competencies-
- Training and experience in either Didactic Behavioral or Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy preferred.
- Ability to multi - task, organize & prioritize workload required.
- Ability to make complex and time pressured decision making with high degree of accuracy.
- Experience with Standard Office
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with EHR
