An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory, compliance, and quality operations at their Ohio facility. This onsite role offers long-term career stability and leadership growth, with options for direct hire or temp-to-perm placement. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the PIC for Ohio and additional non-resident state licenses as required
- Ensure adherence to FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
- Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
- Lead inspections and regulatory meetings with Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA
- Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training materials
- Oversee regulatory reporting, recall management, complaints, and quality investigations
- Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
- Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control including batch records, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
- Oversee validation activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Review change controls, product labeling, annual product reviews, and vendor qualifications
- Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience with multi-state licensure preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
- Proven ability to lead regulatory inspections and audits
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related industries
- 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
