Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory, compliance, and quality operations at their Ohio facility. This onsite role offers long-term career stability and leadership growth, with options for direct hire or temp-to-perm placement. Relocation assistance is available, and candidates open to travel or relocating are encouraged to apply.

  • Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the PIC for Ohio and additional non-resident state licenses as required
  • Ensure adherence to FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
  • Lead inspections and regulatory meetings with Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training materials
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, recall management, complaints, and quality investigations
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control including batch records, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
  • Oversee validation activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Review change controls, product labeling, annual product reviews, and vendor qualifications
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership

Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience with multi-state licensure preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven ability to lead regulatory inspections and audits
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
