Summary of Position:
The Orthodontic Assistant is a pivotal role to Sarver Streeter Orthodontics and serves as the primary supporting person to our doctor team. This role will assist with various activities in working with the doctors and patients and will strive to be a positive, friendly, and professional addition to the team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patients
- Work chairside with patient care including assisting in placing, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances
- Taking x-rays, pictures, and intraoral scans
- Maintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctors' notes accurately
- Educate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices
- Keep patient areas stocked and organized; clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment
- Other duties as required

- Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Web Browser
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Dental experience is highly appreciated but not required
- Knowledge of orthodontics and associated treatment appliances is appreciated but not required
