What does aProject Managerdo at Hogarth?
A Project Manager is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of a project through the Hogarth Studios (Detroit, UK and NY). Major responsibilities include project ingest, estimating, budget tracking, resourcing talent, developing comprehensive timing plans, and meeting deadlines for various deliverable types (print, out-of-home, point-of-sale, retouching, icons/logos, branding guidelines, etc.) on a day-to-day basis. The Project Manager will serve as the liaison between internal Hogarth teams and agency partners and must have an understanding of design and production execution.
The Project Manager will be expected to build trusting relationships, deliver smart solutions to meet client needs, and creatively problem-solve to ensure that experiences with Hogarth are positive and rewarding.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders:
This role reports to the Client Engagement Supervisor, Detroit.
You will work closely with the production teams, partner agencies, and finance.
Requirements
- Understand andfollow established processes for managing projects within Hogarth, including initiating jobs, creating detailed estimates, tracking project budgets, and developing comprehensive timing plans
- Coordinate with Resource Managers toidentify and manage resources within Hogarth
- Maintain clear documentation of job historyand effectively capture and communicate action items in order to execute projects on time and within budget
- Provide estimates within 24 hours (unless otherwise specified), and upon estimate approval, actively ensure that POs areprocured and escalate any budget risks in a timely fashion
- Collaborate withHogarth finance leads to bill projects and resolve any financial concerns
- Provide continuous oversight and solutions to manage progress on ever-changing dynamic projects
- Identifyopportunities and develop measures to improve work process and quality of end-product
- Accurately record time spent on projects
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships with internal team and partner agency leads, creating positive experiences for all who interact with Hogarth
- Work independently or collaborate with other Producers as part of a team, ushering projects through the development and production phases(such as CGI, Post Production, Art Production, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Possess an understanding of current software technologies including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess an understanding of current production methods and technologies used to prepare files for output,delivery and storage (design, retouching, print production, etc.)
- Detailed timeline management, organization, problem solving and management of many different teams/disciplines to execute complex production projects.
- Ability to estimate and track budgets on projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising or Business preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in advertising, design and production
