Industrial Electrician | Norton Shores, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Install, commission, and upgrade electrical components, wiring, and control panels.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions using schematics, blueprints, and testing equipment.
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and motor control systems.
• Ensure strict compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies (e.g., Lockout/Tagout).
• Calibrate and test electrical instruments and sensors for accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent state certification.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and VFDs.
• Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial safety standards (e.g., LOTO, Arc Flash).
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and root cause analysis in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming and logic modification.
• Robotics electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in setting up and optimizing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Experience with instrumentation and process control loops.
